โ“ Teller County STR Alliance FAQ

Answers to common questions about our mission, membership, and structure as a 501(c)(6) nonprofit trade association.

The Teller County Short-Term Rental Alliance (TCSTRA) is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit trade association representing STR owners, operators, service providers, and local businesses across Teller County. We work to promote fair regulation, share best practices, and advocate for balanced STR policies that benefit both owners and the community.

As a 501(c)(6) organization, TCSTRA operates to advance the shared interests of STR stakeholders in Teller County. Unlike a 501(c)(3) charity, contributions to TCSTRA are not tax-deductible as charitable donations but rather, as business expenses. As a 501(c)6 Trade Association, the organization can advocate for policy reform, educate members, and promote the local STR industryโ€™s long-term sustainability.

Membership is open to STR stakeholders in Teller County, including owners, operators, service providers, and local businesses. There are three tiers of membership:

  • Affiliate Member โ€“ $50/year: Vendors, businesses, residents, and community partners.
  • Registered Member โ€“ $50/year: STR owners in Teller County with access to meetings and communications.
  • Owner Member โ€“ $250/year: STR owners with voting rights, eligibility for Board service, and access to member-only resources.
